Dentistry is one of the few NHS services where you have to pay a contribution towards the cost of your care.
Please visit the NHS website for current charges.
For information about help with dental charges, including how to claim a refund, see our section on help with health costs.
Any treatment that your dentist believes is clinically necessary to achieve and maintain good oral health should be available on the NHS.
Not available on the NHS
NHS dentistry does not fund cosmetic cases, and those cases will be chargeable on an independent course of treatment
In this practice we will:
Missed Appointments
Please try to give us 48 hours’ notice if you know you are not going to be able to attend your appointment. If you cancel at short notice or fail to attend two NHS appointments within a short period of time, we may ask you to find another dental surgery.
If you cancel at short notice or fail to attend a private appointment, then a minimum fee of £20 is chargeable or if you have paid a deposit this will be retained by the practice. Short notice is regarded as less than 48 hours’ notice (excluding weekends and bank holidays)
Late Appointments
Please be aware that if you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment you may be asked to reschedule.
We understand that being late for appointments is sometimes unavoidable or there are circumstances which may prevent you from attending your appointment. We will take this into consideration. Any appeals about missed or cancelled appointments should be addressed to the practice manager.
To ensure you receive your appointment reminders please check with reception that we have your correct contact details.
Please Note:
We follow a policy of preventive dental care and are guided by the NICE guidelines for intervals between routine dental examinations.
